Adam Smyth's Take on Julian

JULIAN'S PAST ASK A PLAYER:
What is your name?: Kelsey
How old are you?: 15 years old
What is your question?: Do you ever get nervous before the games knowing that there are so many people watching you?
Julian said: "I use to get nervous when I first started playing in Ottawa.  Who wouldn't?  Last year there weren't that many fans to watch the games.  There are so many people in the stands here.  I don't really ever get nervous anymore unless it's a really big game and then I don't get nervous because of the fans, I just get nervous because it is a big game.  I think it's more exciting when there is lots of fans, and it's a much better atmosphere"

2002-2003 Season Spotlight

Many people may say that Julian is a spitting image of his brother, Joe, a former 67's player captain.  Many compare his play to his brother's and so when we got a chance to sit down with Julian we got to see what everyone was talking about. The only problem with that view is that Julian was not really like his brother at all.  Individualism is a feature that Julian carries to separate him from his brother.  Anyone who gets a chance to speak with Julian will see that this young rookie is similar in the sense that he is very personable, polite, kind and a bit overly shy.  Other then that Julian is not really like Joe.  The one thing that completely separates him is his urge to be seen an individual and to be himself.  Here is Julian's interview, we hope it sheds light on Julian as Julian and not as Joe's little brother:
