FIVE FOR FIGHTING

GO!
Q1: What is the main reason that you decided on becoming a defenseman?
A1: I actually started as a forward.  When I was 12, I switched teams and my coach thought that I would be better off there.  I like playing defense more because you can see more of the ice.  I like a physical game and playing defense allows me to hit and be more aggressive in my play.

Q2: What was one of the first things that ran through your mind on the first day of training camp?
A2: There where some pretty big guys there, like (Mark) Mancari, and they all hit pretty hard.  It's not all that much faster from last year so its not that bad but the size of the guys is what got me.

Q3: At training camp, who was the one player that impressed you the most?
A3: (Matt) Foy.  He is such a big guy and he is an amazing skater.  He is an awesome player all around.

Q4: Which NHL defenseman do you think you pattern yourself after the most?
A4: I I would have to pick a player that is not all that big but not too small.  Probably Scott Niedermayer because he is average size but can move the puck pretty well.

Q5: Choosing from any player in history, who would be on your NHL dream line?
A5:  I would pick Bobby Orr, Rob Blake, Jarome Iginla, Wayne Gretzky, and Daryl Sitler.  In net, it would have to be Terry Sawchuck.

STOP!
Thanks Elgin!
