DAN SNYDER- 1978-2003
~ MAY YOU REST IN PEACE ~
The NHL suffered the loss of a great up coming star. Here is a statement from Thrashers Vice President and General Manger Don Waddell on the loss of Dan Snyder:
"It's very difficult for me to put into words the tremendous sense of loss that we all feel over the passing of Dan Snyder. Dan was the perfect example of what a hockey player should be-a leader, hard worker, team player, but more importantly an even better human being.
As a hockey player, Dan was a battler in every sense of the word. He battled his way up through hockey and came to our organization undrafted. He quickly showed us the type of player he was by his strong work ethic and willingness to give everything he had on every shift on the ice.
People were drawn to Dan's personality and his great passion for life and hockey, which made him a very special person to be around. The best thing I can say about Dan Snyder is I don't know of anyone who didn't like him, and that says a lot.
We tragically lost our friend and member of our family last night, but a part of Dan will remain with all of us going forward."
