2002-2003 Season Spotlight

Mark came strolling in with his car pool buddies and they all decided to come stand around and watch the interview, also add a few of their own answers in with it...

Where is your hometown?

London, Ontario.

Do you have any brothers or sisters?

I have one brother.

What is your favorite NHL team?

The Toronto Maple Leafs

Which NHL Player do you think your play most resembles?

Keith Primeau (Peter Tsimikalis was hanging around not too far away and piped in with "Gary Valk... come on it's Gary Valk.")

Are you living with a billet? If so, do you live alone or with another player?

Yep, I live with a billet but by myself.

What is your favorite dinner meal?

Ummm, pasta and steak.

What is your favorite movie?

The Shawshank Redemption.

According to you, what is your greatest achievement?

Just being drafted to Ottawa.

You've been asked to create a brand new road sign that will be put up on the streets of your town.  People in your town will be expected to obey it just as they would any other sign, what would your sign say?

Wow, um, I think I'd let people be able to turn left on a red light. (Laughing comes from all the guys around as well as us and Mark.)

If a genie could grant you three wishes, what would they be?

One would be to make the NHL, the other would be to represent Canada, either in the World Juniors or at the Olympics, and the other would be that nothing bad would happen to my family at all.

The last time you were home and come back to Ottawa, what did you forget?

TONS of clothes and shoes and I think that's about it.

And now for the game:

Have you ever cried at a movie?

No, (Julian Talbot: * laughs * don't lie!) I don't know which one, no I didn't cry at any movies, not in front of anyone at least. (Stop lying Mark) okay fine! A Walk to Remember, there you go. (Everyone laughs)

Have you ever gone to see the same movie twice in the theater?

Yes, American Pie 2.

Have you ever been to Europe?

(The only problem with this question is that Mark was eating pizza and when we recorded the interview and went back later would couldnt make out what he was saying, sorry everyone!)

Have you ever watch more then four hours of television straight?

Yes.

Have you ever been to the ocean?

Yep.  I'm not sure which one, I was a little kid.  Ummmm, oh wait I was in Florida!

Have you ever owned an old school Nintendo?

Oh yes.

Have you ever seen the entire Rocky series?

Yes, I have.
